これまで、行った津波による被災地、被災した子供たちへの心のケアー、遊びなどによる支援活動は、引き続き長い期間に渡り地域や行政、企業などの協力の基に行う活動であると思います。
しかし、基本的には、地元のNPOが中心になり被災を経験、体験した方々が本気で継続していく活動でありSOATが今、出来る復興支援活動は、その後方支援活動であると思います。
何故ならば、本当の痛みを知る人にしか出来ない活動であるからである。
それほどに心の痛み・心の闇は大きいく深く、沢山の大切なものを奪った大災害でした。
そこで、SOATが今できる事と今しなければいけない事を考えてみました。

現在、アーティストが置かれている環境は、アート制作活動を継続していくには決して恵まれてはおりません。そこで、制作・発表の場所の確保、アート活動にて収入を得るための手段、などアーティストとしての活動が円滑になるためにSOATは立ち上がりました。
SOATの活動が東北に限らず日本全国、世界へ繋がる活動になり、人が人として、自然環境と共に生きる。
地域社会と共に笑顔になれるような場所を創造しております。

・アートで子供からお年寄りまでの全ての人たちが癒される場所。
・アーティストが、長期に渡り生活や制作活動のできる場所。
・大災害の時には、シェルターになり得る場所。

It is foundmental to continue the care for disaster area and children, based on the support from the administration. However the reality is that the activity has been done mainly by the local NPO and the victims who have experienced the disaster. That is because the support is what only the victims can understand and help. The disaster left us huge shock and heart breaking memories. Therefore we think what SOAT can do and what SOAT should do for the care.

Now, it is not good condition for the artists to keep working. We set up SOAT to support the artists by preparing the place to exhibit their work and live as an artists. We are creating the place where many people feel happy and always smile, living with nature.
We hope our activity broaden not only in the Northeast Japan, but also in whole japan and to the world.
